Meet Jason S. Chawla, DMD
Dr. Jason Chawla is a Louisiana native raised on the Northshore. He is a graduate of Northshore High School and attended Tulane University in New Orleans where he completed his Bachelor of Science in Public Health and Tropical Medicine. Dr. Chawla also attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge for graduate coursework in finance and biochemistry. Following LSU, Dr. Chawla attended Lake Erie College of Medicine - School of Dental Medicine in Sarasota, FL, where he completed his Doctorate of Dental Medicine.
After graduation, Dr. Chawla wanted to return to Louisiana to make an impact in his local community. In a time where corporate dentistry is replacing the traditional dentist-owned and operated practices, he believes in bringing back the relationship-driven care that Louisiana patients want, and deserve. He takes his time with every patient and works with them to find the best solutions for their individual dental needs.
When Dr. Chawla isn't practicing dentistry he enjoys spending time with his wife, Alison, their two rescued dogs, Cooper and Layla, and will welcome a son, Jack, due June 2023. Most weekends you'll find him either outdoors fishing, traveling, or at a Saints/LSU football game. Who dat?!

About Our Practice
Deep South Dental & Implant Center was established over 40 years ago until Dr. Gregg May acquired the office in 2015. Dr. Jason Chawla recently took over for Dr. May and continues to deliver the same high-quality dentistry you and your family have come to expect.
As all Southerners know, if you don't get your roux right, your gumbo will suffer. A roux is just fat and flour, but it's how you cook it that makes a difference. In the same way, dentistry is simply mastering techniques with the proper tools, but it's the little touches that make a difference. At Deep South Dental & Implant Center, we promise high-quality dentistry with a twist - true Southern values and hospitality.
